The city of Los Angeles will soon be renaming a street outside Staples Center in honour of the late Kobe Bryant.

Herb J. Wesson Jr., president of the Los Angeles city council, made the announcement on Monday — Aug. 24, 8/24 on the calendar, which is officially recognized as Kobe Bryant Day in Los Angeles and Orange County — saying a portion of Figueroa Street will be unveiled as Kobe Bryant Boulevard between Olympic Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, bordering Staples Center..

tonight, featuring the No. 2 that Gianna wore on her jersey as a patch, against the Portland Trail Blazers in their honour.
