The Kings originally selected Fagemo in the second round of the 2019 NHL Draft. The six-foot left wing, who shoots right, made the jump to the North American professional ranks with the Reign in 2020–21.
Fagemo made his NHL debut with the Kings the following year, going without a point in four games. In 2022–23, the Gothenburg, Sweden product collected three points in nine contests with the Kings. Madden was selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the third round of the 2018 NHL Draft, but he never played for the team before being traded to the Kings in 2020 as part of a deadline deal for Tyler Toffoli.
Shortly thereafter, Madden finished up his second year at Northeastern University and signed an entry-level contract with the Kings. The five-foot-eleven center from Albany, N.Y. has yet to make his NHL debut through three professional seasons. Fagemo and Madden will both be able to become RFAs and file for arbitration next summer. The Kings are already slated to have plenty of RFA business to conduct in 2024, with Quinton Byfield, Arthur Kaliyev, Jordan Spence, Alex Turcotte, and Carl Grundstrom among those up for renewal in 12 months’ time.
