If you’d been lost in space without communications for the last two years and just returned to Earth on Monday, you could be forgiven for thinking at first glance that the NDP were still in charge in Alberta

This marks a 40 per cent increase in capital spending, beyond what was contained in this year’s provincial budget.

Governments can induce private-sector productivity gains by, for instance, improving transportation that helps raw materials get to manufacturers and goods get to markets. And if the taxes don’t come in from recovered oil prices, then ordinary working taxpayers will be left to pick up the bill. Every UCP initiative, on the other hand, is designed not just to get construction workers, road builders and concrete pourers back to work – now – but also “spur the creation of thousands of other jobs for sub-contractors, suppliers, small businesses, hotels, and restaurants in every corner of the province.”

You mean residential tax payers...corporations are getting cuts.

And the same tax payers are on the hook for Justin Trudeau’s free spending ways Lorne. Did you think there was a chance the tooth fairy might pony up for all this spending?

Alberta shortchanging Education, Health Care, the Arts, Land Freeze and irreputable sell off, Freedom stiffling bills, running Doctors out of the Province, and all-around shady tactics best describes UCP trumpanzees

Except that the jobs generated won't be public service titles like the 60,000 the NDP invented and doled out to unions and other Socialist toadies. Anti-oil activists will not be hired to 'advise' the AER at some bloated base salary plus bonuses like the NDP did.

Yea didn’t hear you complain when Trudeau maxed out Canada’s credit to the point where we got our credit rating downgraded.
