The prime minister appears to be playing down expectations for the Sept. 23 throne speech

When Trudeau hit Parliament’s reset button by requesting prorogation last month, he insisted the move wasn’t about laying the table for a fall election, but rather one designed only to seek the House of Commons’ approval for a renewed Liberal focus on Canada’sA confidence vote usually follows a speech from the throne, and another one will follow the government’s fiscal update, now tentatively scheduled for November.

Throughout the spring, as the pandemic wore on, the prime minister suggested several areas of potential focus: long-term care homes, the provision of sick days to all workers, expanded pharmacare, “better support” for those he called “vulnerable Canadians,” such as those with disabilities, as well as higher wages for support workers. Watch: Trudeau says the fate of the WE Charity is “unfortunate.” Story continues below.

We will have conversations about next steps as well, but our focus is very much on what we need to do to control COVID-19.“Obviously, COVID has exposed weaknesses in our country, where vulnerable people are continuing to slip through the cracks. We will have conversations about next steps as well, but our focus is very much on what we need to do to control COVID-19.”

They think they will get a majority if we go to polls. I hope not. This is not an honest man. We can’t afford his policies.

Of course not trudeauthedictator

Dictators don’t discuss, just increase taxes and 8m0lement stupid laws

Their platform is blatant pandering to NDP with guaranteed I come. Obviously looking to be propped up

This clown and his mouth breathing, jr high liberal caucus have no idea what they’re doing. Liberals = Systemic Corruption.

Sanctimonious nonsense. The opposition are not interested in consultation, look at how they behaved when they were last offered an opportunity. BTW how often did Harper consult with the opposition?

I don’t generally consult with clown cars before making decisions, either 🤷🏼‍♀️

What are they afraid of?

Trudeau plays down everything unless it shines a light on himself.

Prorogued parliament for a reset and now the reset will not amount to much. Makes it more likely that parliament was closed to shutdown ethics investigations. Call me cynical.

More media garbage? Lolol

So slick in his response...point is he has not been consulting with the Opposition parties regarding the Throne speech. TrudeauMustGo TrudeauWorstPM MCGA

Considering the opposition parties have spent this crisis-stricken year doing nothing other than screaming loudly and playing petty, childish games, that's not shocking at all.

Liberal MPs force guaranteed basic income to top of party policy resolutions listGoverning party will debate and vote on issue at November national convention The money that goes to everybody will allow the poor and lower middle class to purchase things owned by the middle and upper class and promotes entrepreneurship among people without any upward mobility. It also reduces the size of government since it's more efficient than welfare A real UBI - one that replaces all other social spending and supports - would be the only thing of value that the Trudeau “Liberals” have done for Canada since being elected A true UBI is a long shot though given political power considerations and public sector unions.

Guaranteed basic income tops policy priorities for Liberal caucusA guaranteed basic income for all Canadians has emerged as the top policy choice of Liberal MPs, just as the Trudeau government is crafting its plan to help people weather the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and rebuild the ravaged economy. That's nice. Guaranteed basic income, universal basic income, is actually welfare. That's double speak for welfare. Just letting everyone know that. I get the feeling not many ppl know this. you want more income. work hard More liberal insanity.

Liberals to hold retreat to confront challenge of minimizing long-term damage from ongoing pandemicThe government is operating on the assumption that the global fight against the deadly coronavirus that causes COVID\u002D19 will continue for at least two more… Too little, too late. Trudeau was 3 weeks late to the pandemic giving up valuable reaction time which has cost Canada Billions and many lives , now this retreat is essentially 8 months too late To confront the challenge the liberal_party would actually need qualified MP’s. A PT drama teacher, a journalist and a graphic designer who only know how to waste money don’t exactly instil any confidence. TrudeauMustGo TrudeauCorruption
