Prime Minister Justin Trudeau first announced the pledge during a major peacekeeping summit in Vancouver in 2017.
The government at the time said the force, intended to provide response to emergencies on peacekeeping missions, would be deployed within five years. Yet the Department of National Defence says cabinet recently gave itself another year to meet the commitment. The government has not explained why the force has yet to materialize even though the UN says there is an ongoing need for such units.

We cannot supply a 200 person quick reaction force. That’s sad for a Country like Canada. We should have an EU force of over 2500 quick reaction soldiers and another 2500 on home soil to rotate out. Total of 5000 soldiers, but can’t find 200 in all of Canada, very sad, Trudeau.

Do a story on how many people have left the military since 2020 due to Trudeau's horrible military record (Throw soldiers under the bus & lower grooming standards) all to the detriment of the fine men & women who serve. We used to have the Airborne until Libs shut that down.
