As NDP supporter I fear this election will see return of elitist Liberals and dark days of their 16 years in government, writes Dan Peebles.

This election call defines the concept of political expediency. At a time when we need to continue a joint effort to combat COVID-19 Horgan has set the agenda for days of rancour, dissent and controversy. This isn’t what was needed as our virus numbers are on the rise.

I confess I never voted for his NDP but I felt that his government had been a different NDP from all previous NDP governments in B.C. If he had waited until his fixed, four-year-term was up in October 2021 I would have given serious consideration to voting for his government. Don’t these people know that since John Horgan took control he changed the rules to where all taxpayers contribute to the sitting parties, whether they want to or not.

However, after this snap election call, I’m now certain that all politicians are liars who put their own interests first.

Liberals Make Deal With NDP And Likely Avoid A Fall Election“I’ve always said my goal has been to find a way to fight for people, to get help and deliver that help to people and I’m really happy that we were able to achieve that,” Jagmeet Singh said. Hello! That is what is best for 🇨🇦right now. U think it would be right to spend money on an election when people are trying to stay afloat? Cons don’t give a shit about 🇨🇦‘s right now, that’s very apparent. cdnpoli Thank goodness! If anyone believes for a second that theJagmeetSingh is supporting corrupt Trudeau to help Cdns, then they're idiots. Singh and the ndp are supporting the trudeau liberals for one reason only: they're out of campaign $ and they wld be (and will anyway) be wiped out

Liberals secure COVID-19 aid deal with NDP, avoiding electionThe federal government has reached a deal with the NDP to soon pass the Liberals’ recently tabled bill to implement a trio of new COVID-19 benefits to fill gaps left by the expiring Canadian Emergency Response Benefit program. This agreement paved the way for the NDP confirming it will prop up the Liberal minority to avoid a fall election. It's cute if anyone thought that the commies in the NDP would reject the 'everything is free' platform laid out by the commie Libs. So nice having socialists running the country. Venezuelans would agree, I’m sure. Look who is driving the Liberal bus, as it turns left at the next red light. But I am glad we are not going to the polls this fall. Am I being selfish here...I just want my family and friends to be safe.
