The further a government is from the people it serves, the less responsible it is to them.William Peddlesden, ChestermereChina emits 12,000 megatonnes of carbon into the atmosphere annually, while the U.S. emits 6,000 megatonnes and India 3,000 megatonnes.

Canada’s oil and gas industry not only has the tools to reduce carbon emissions worldwide, it also has the resources and initiative to usher this country into the renewable energy future that we all want. The same cannot be said for our present federal government.Article contentThis is the ultimate insult to our military personnel. Our prime minister has the audacity to lecture our military people in Latvia on climate change.

These fine people serve our country and meet our commitment to NATO. They are understaffed because Canada can’t get our citizens interested in a military career. I don’t have the words to describe what our military folks think of you. Then they got elected or selected for a paid government position and something changed. They are now “somebody” with a title and they think little of how Canadians view their disregard for “our” money.
