Globe_Sports Leafs will back into playoffs in wild card position, my bet

Globe_Sports Leafs need to get it together!

Globe_Sports At this rate we can expect Toronto to be out in the first round. Do we expect too much?

Globe_Sports The Leafs season is done. An early exit in the first round. If the Raptors play Detroit in the first round it will be the same. The Jays are destined for a pitiful 5th place. Our only hope is Toronto FC.

Globe_Sports Just love, LOVE, stories like this in a Toronto daily.

3 things we learned in NHL: Maple Leafs look rusty in return to shootout - Sportsnet.caThe Toronto Maple Leafs went to the shootout for the first time this season -- and it showed, Frederik Andersen is in the midst of a rough patch, Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand stayed red hot at home, and Tyson Barrie moved up the ranks of Colorado Avalanche defencemen. No shootouts in playoffs and 5 games left in regular season so another pointless headline.... Right now every leaf fan is getting this gut feeling that another season is about to end up with the same results. They won’t get pass the first round. Great coaching btw!! Rusty.... no it's just a team that won't make it past the first round, usual.
