J.R. Smith has officially reunited with LeBron James.

for their championship push.

Smith is the Lakers’ replacement for Avery Bradley, who cited family reasons last week for his decision not to finish the season with his team in Orlando. Bradley was a starter and a key role player in his first season with the Lakers, averaging 8.6 points per game and playing solid wing defence. But the Western Conference-leading Lakers also excelled while Bradley missed 13 games due to injury, with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope capably filling the role.

Smith worked out for the Lakers in February before the club signed Dion Waiters, who didn’t get to suit up for the Lakers before the coronavirus pandemic suspended the season.

Social justice is going to kill viewership of these sports. Too corporate, too PC, too fucking boring. Good idea. The message is far more important than any sponsor. Your going to lose viewers. All Lives Matter.

Nets' DeAndre Jordan tests positive for COVID-19, won't play in Orlando - Sportsnet.caDeAndre Jordan has tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be in Orlando for the resumption of the NBA season, the Brooklyn Nets centre announced on Twitter Monday night. BrooklynNets Critics of Djokovic were a dime a dozen yet for some reason those same folks are church mouse quiet when it comes to criticizing the NBA/NHL/MLB and their plans to try and get in or complete a season I don’t suppose TV contracts are the big motivator here, do you? BrooklynNets So, I guess the Nets will be signing people off the street to fill out their roster. I think that the NBA will be regretting trying to hold their playoffs in Orlando. FL has a huge spike going on now. This is gonna be a disaster. BrooklynNets He is making the correct choice. Stay safe.

What shortened season means for mapping out Nate Pearson’s MLB timeline - Sportsnet.caBack in March, the expectation around Blue Jays camp was that Nate Pearson would begin the 2020 season at triple-A Buffalo. Now, it would be harder to justify keeping Pearson off the roster for baseball reasons. bnicholsonsmith It really won’t. 7 days to not risk an entire year on a weird shortened season (that still might not even happen). Seems reasonable. bnicholsonsmith There should be no innings limit for him in a 60 game season. Even if he starts 10 games and goes 7 each time it's barely anything over a full season. Might as well give him the time against mlb hitters to develop for next year.
