NBC reporter Kristen Welker earned bipartisan praise for her handling of the final U.S. presidential debate, which largely stayed on track despite concerns of a chaotic repeat of the first debate.

Welker has been a White House reporter with NBC since 2011 and played a prominent role in the network’s coverage during the 2016 presidential election. In January, she was promoted to co-anchor of “Weekend Today,” NBC’s weekend morning show.

U.S. President Donald Trump previously congratulated Welker on her new job with “Weekend Today” back in January, saying the NBC made a “very wise decision” in hiring her, but has since changed his tune, that she has “always been terrible & unfair, just like most of the Fake News reporters.” Welker was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa., to a white father and Black mother. Her mother was the first African-American president at Penn State University’s women's student association.Welker has previously said it was her upbringing that inspired her to become a journalist.

She did an amazing job 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 That's how a moderator does it!

True even if she was trying to bail out biden. Trump will definitely win👍

The moderator did a great job!

I felt she let both men walk over her. They kept on talking after she told them not to.

She started out strong & confident, but backed down & cowered when Trump kept pointing her & pointedly looked straight her to finish his schpeel. At 10:35 (Canadian time), she said there were “a lot more questions in the last topic”, but only asked one...ended 10:40.

I thought she gave too much time to Trump. The candidates behaviour and the muted minutes are to given the true credit

She challenged both candidates and asked great follow up questions to each. For the most part the candidates respected her(while pushing their limits of course which is to be expected). She wasn’t emotional like the last moderator, she stayed on point and did a great job.

I haven’t seen an apology from Trump yet.

She did well ! Joe got stumped like an old man with no energy

She only interrupted trump 24 times . And Biden 0 times so that tells you everything you need to know

She was weak in her attempts to get Trump to stop talking, and consequently he got more airtime for his rebuttals.

She was decent, however she did let Biden respond far more often than Trump. But she’s a Democrat so that’s to be expected

No. The left praised the left

She was outstanding!

I didn't know who the reporter was, now that I see her I know y he walked off ,he doesn't like when women , especially when they look like her ask hard questions, she fukd him up. Great job

To me she clearly interrupted Trump and let Biden speak.

She interrupted and talked over Trump 111 times, only 22 times with Biden. The questions were totally left leaning. She did a better job than Wallace but again the commission leans the debate left. Despite that Trump showed Biden for what he is an old, tired, corrupt, politician

She did a great job. Tony Bobulinski tonybobulinski

I don't agree with that take. She seemed over her head.

Wow...Really?...I must of lost count of how many times she tried to limit and/or interrupt Trump and give as much as possible “campaign” time to Biden. Watch the debate again (in slow motion if need be) and see if you feel the same. P.s. leave any biased feelings out of it.

She was awesome

Shitty job. Might as well let an AI chat bot handle it.

She had a good day because the candidates behaved themselves for the most part.

She did a good job

But we never got any comments from CTV and CBC so I will assume that Trump won

Its note worthy when Trump gets treated with the same respect as Biden he does very well she was no none partisan and that had Biden scrambling and caused him to make several obvious blunders. Trump clearly won this debate by a large margin

She questioned President Trump directly, a huge no-no for a moderator. I guess she's a democrat.

She was good. But MSM in Canada and the US are disgusting. Won’t forget.

You did a great job keep up the good work.

Hahahahaha she was biased as all get out! What on earth brought her bipartisan praise?

I did think she was kinda rude with some respect.

To bad trump called her a loser today.

Ya she didn’t suck like little Chris Wallace. Then with an even playing field Trump committed a public slaughter on national TV and got re-elected.

She was fair

She did a very good job👍

She was by far the best. Kudos.

The best political moderator thus far. Fair professional and nice-:))

Exceptional performance with these two clowns!

Not sure I agree on moderator. Seemed like Trump would always get another chance to get in one more 30 second slot when he was given 10secs. Tough to leash an untrained dog though. Certainly better than 1st debate but was that because of mute?

While indeed a great job, yet another moderator that allowed Trump a lot of leeway with time over the allotted. I thought there was a button to cut off the mic.

Yes, she did a very good job. Much better than the first debate and the town hall.

A lot better than Wallace that's for sure

From who? Haha

Take a few lessons CTV. be bipartisan

She gets my vote! Absolutely incredible job tonight! Bravo!

Best of the moderators by far but still too easy on Biden. Didn't really ask him point blank if the laptop was legit. We know it's not russian disinfo.

Agree, she was very effective and ensured important questions were answered.
