B.C. SPCA is asking the public for help covering the medical costs of a seven\u002Dmonth\u002Dold kitten

“Upon arrival, Ivy was immediately administered medication to relieve her considerable pain,” B.C. SPCA said in a release.The BC SPCA says Ivy, a seven-month-old kitten, was recently brought to the BC SPCA location in Kelowna after being thrown from a moving vehicleThe SPCA is seeking donations to help cover Ivy’s medical costs, which include surgery, medication and treatment, until she’s ready for adoption in six to eight weeks.

“Ivy is a fighter and survivor,” said Sean Hogan, manager of the B.C. SPCA in Kelowna. “She has made great progress in a few days and though she’s a bit wobbly, she’s started to move around a bit more now that she’s no longer in pain. She loves to play with string toys and is eager for the attention from staff.”Petsecure, a Canadian pet insurance company, has pledged to match all medical donations up to $3,500.
