One man, who was injured in an altercation outside the club at about 11 p.m., was later pronounced dead at hospital.
Police say numerous people were involved in the incident outside the club in the 200 block of Lawrence Avenue. The male victim was found injured outside the club and was transported to hospital, where he died. Another male was seen fleeing the area on foot. The investigation has been turned over to the Kelowna serious crime unit, forensics and general investigations teams, and the B.C. Coroners Service.
No one has been charged or arrested. Investigators are continuing to canvas the area for evidence. Police do not believe the victim and suspect were not known to each other. Insp. Beth McAndie, investigative service officer, said in a news release: “We have identified a number of individuals in the area who witnessed the altercation.
