National security adviser John Bolton on Sunday defended President Donald Trump’s second summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, saying the president was right not to make a deal that wasn’t in the best interests of the United States.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was among those needling Trump about the collapse of the talks in Hanoi. At a news conference last week, the California Democrat suggested that it should not have taken Trump so long to recognize that Kim is not serious about denuclearization. But Bolton maintained Sunday that Trump is “not desperate for a deal — not with North Korea, not with anybody — if it’s contrary to American national interests.
“Of course the president did give up a great deal,” Schiff said on “Face the Nation,” arguing that Trump helped enhance Kim’s prestige and noting that Trump agreed to end longtime U.S. military exercises with South Korea that had riled Kim’s regime. Asked during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” whether he takes Kim at his word, Bolton replied, “My opinion doesn’t matter. … I am not the national security decision-maker. That’s view.”
Much wiser to get a good deal and what you want as opposed to a bad deal as Obama did with Iran...

North Korea’s Kim Jong-un awaits Trump in Vietnam for second summitThe two leaders will try to reach an agreement on how to implement a North Korean pledge to give up its nuclear weapons Here's hoping Trump actually get something done this time and not give in to this tyrant. How did this dictator even get elevated this much? Aren't dictator bad? I think that's how it used to be. One step at a time and it won’t be a speedy process but more dialogue with leaders who have the capability to economically transform their countries is a good thing. Love & MutualRespect & Coexist is a good thing. VIETNAM'S SUCCESS? Hmm IS THAT BEFORE OR AFTER THE 'HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSING!!' COMMUNIST CHINESE KICKED THE USA+ALLIES IN THE BALLS AND OUT OF VIETNAM?
