”), it’s unlikely that Canada will be able to build any LNG export terminals or new gas pipelines until long after the war in Ukraine has come to an end.
Many industry insiders are already skeptical that Germany, which currently doesn’t have any LNG terminals, will be able toof building two of them within the next two years. A full LNG export terminal capable of liquefaction, processing and storage would take at least five years to build.
I was involved with a small Alberta energy company in the early 2000s, whose management went on to try to build an LNG facility on the West Coast, but was stymied by excessive bureaucracy and a lack of political will. It’s hard to imagine that anyone would be willing to start such a project after a decade of failed pipeline proposals and the imposition of Bill C-69, unless they had really deep pockets and decades of time on their hands.
That would mean signalling to the provinces that the federal government will no longer tolerate them standing in the way of pipelines and other energy-development projects that are in the national interest. It would entail going to companies and convincing them to build new gas pipelines. It would involve repealing Bill C-69 and removing policies that inhibit natural gas production.
The federal government, in other words, would need to get the ball rolling by showing that it will no longer stand in the way of Canadian energy projects. Unfortunately, despite strong comments by Freeland and Joly this week over the role Canada should play in Europe’s energy security, the actions taken by the Trudeau Liberals recently show that it’s business as usual around the cabinet table.
😂No! She doesn't care about Canada! She's Dangerous 'Do the people who truly understand & are actively working to stop the danger humanity faces, know how dangerous Canada under Freeland’s command, really is?' 👉 Traitors PM& DPM
Klaus said so!
Freeland will do anything to save Ukraine.
Yes, but how will this benefit Ukrainians?
Well of course they are now looking at energy. It’s the globalist agenda at play. It didn’t matter when Canadians (in particular Albertans) needed these projects for prosperous life in Canada. Kenney had to start a war with the Feds and to no avail. Major departures to US also.
It doesn't matter what she intends - with this government's organizational skills it will never happen.
I'll let you decide for yourself how effective she has been. But you gotta hand it to her, she is beaming with delight, not unlike a kid who has graduated from Pampers to pull-ups. If there is a point to this, her work in government ain't exactly the sh*t. Dog.
I used to respect her until she chose lying and condescension to accompany her in her new fancy position of which she is unqualified. Now her and Dame Joly represent the consequences of diversity hire and nepotism.
A logical Liberal, wow I never. Does Trudeau know about this, he is on a fossil fueled holiday?
Hope United States of America stops investing in any Canadian big projects. If Canada wants to build something, make sure Canada pays 4 it. United States investments can be used in better use - Invest in America 🇺🇲 and it's People. 🇺🇲
Doubt she does. Her name suggests she’d create a government that would promote a “Freeland”, but it’s all a lie.
Just stop with the tight little jumpers that little girls wear. Try some nice flowy trousers and a blazer or something different.
From my point of view every words out of a Liberal are 100% lies.
She does as she told
She meant LNG as in Long Nylon Girdles.
Traitors. Global first. Canadian last.
Does she know what LNG stands for?
This horrid example of a minister is the poster child for the arrogance and ineptitude of the Trudeau years. The NDP is the reason they’re still here. Remember that at election time.
Man she is ugly
Wouldn’t trust her any further then ability to throw Trudeau and Singh combined.
No.
Look at that gunt
cafreeland and JustinTrudeau government is basically over. theJagmeetSingh has propped up a declining liberal_party and history shows conservatives are next. The only question is who resigns first or do they limp to 2025.
If she does should have said that to her boss a few years ago.
Nope. Wants to grift some $$$ to the 'Renewable' lobbyists and Green Grifters.
Every time she opens her mouth is a lie.
She’s a Liberals, she’ll say anything she thinks people want to hear. She’ll come through with nothing. TrudeauMustGo
Between the head bobbing And condescending attitude she actually said something?
Nasty woman
Did the liberal ever lie? All the time as a matter of fact let's be very clear.
Could be the same bafflegab as the TMX pipeline, say yes, delay, throw money at the issue then put it on the back shelf. She is a PMJT Lib, so all the talk is hot air. Will believe it when I actually see it 🤔
Same talk as reopening the embassy in Ukraine and planting all the trees. Same💩different pile!
TrudeauInADress
MarkParalovos If the LMG projects don't work out for Freeland, I have some LiGMa projects for her.
I believe her no reason not
I think the political folks call it a 'comforting lie'. Sure she wants LNG, as long as its carbon free, doesn't go in pipes, doesn't get shipped by ocean.
Freeland just shaking it up!
She want donuts
The past six plus years may just be a hint to the answer of that question.
No!
More Carbon Tax $$$$.
Word salad. Eaten by the GTA. Liberal latest housing policy is also recycled word salad.
Their track record would say no. They are two-faced, they speak from both side of their mouths, they are masters of empty platitudes. They have perfected the art of being inept, & getting away with it. They are the liberal_party. cdnpoli 🤡🌎
She also wanted cheaper housing.
Of course..she is not a con
