The Port Williams native completed her university career by receiving the UNB Reds award on April 4. The basketball star received the Acadia Axewomen’s top honour in 2022.

The Reds finished second in the Atlantic University Sport regular season, four points back of first-place Saint Mary’s. The Huskies defeated UNB in the championship game. Jayda Veinot, centre, is preparing for her final Atlantic University Sport basketball championship in Halifax this weekend with the UNB Reds. - Jason Malloy
