The Islanders have advanced to the third round of the StanleyCup Playoffs after beating the Bruins in Game 6.

A tie game after the first period, back-to-back goals from Brock Nelson gave the Islanders a 3-1 lead.

Kyle Palmieri added another to stretch the lead to 4-1, assuring the win despite a late goal from Brad Marchand to narrow the score.New York will face the Tampa Bay Lightning in the next round of the playoffs, a repeat of last year’s semifinal matchup, which saw the Lightning win the series in six games en route to an eventual Stanley Cup title.
