Geoff Heith was able to capture pictures of something a biologist says is quite rare: a picture of a bear cub and a wolf on Vancouver Island.

Megan Hanacek, a professional biologist, says it is quite rare to be able to take a picture of a bear and a wolf together on Vancouver Island.got a message from a friend on the North Island that wolves were spotted, he headed right up with the hopes of taking pictures of them, and while he did succeed in doing so, he also captured something a biologist says is quite rare.

Heith and his friend headed up on Saturday, and he says he sees bears in the area quite frequently, but it is less common to see wolves so he was excited to head out to see if they could find them. Geoff Heith says two wolves left after they spotted him and his friend, but one circled back to look at them.

Geoff Heith says he often takes pictures of bears in the area near Port Hardy, but doesn’t see wolves very often. Hanacek says she has lived on northern Vancouver Island for over 40 years and in that time has only seen two wolves. Hanacek echoes this saying especially when photographing predators, it’s important to take safety precautions.

As Hurricane Ian bore down, Pine Island, Fla. residents recount horror, fearParamedics and volunteers with a group that rescues people after natural disasters went door to door Saturday on Florida's devastated Pine Island, offering to evacuate residents who spoke of the terror of riding out Hurricane Ian in flooded homes and howling winds. This story is tragic, but it's so horribly written you wonder if any of it is true. Seems fake as f*ck. Thankful for carbon taxes, otherwise the damage would’ve been much worse! 🤔 sound familiar? Thankful I got the thing, otherwise it would have been much worse
