The federal government has announced $11 million in funding towards construction of a new cargo facility for Inuit-owned airline CanadianNorth at FlyYOW .

OTTAWA — The federal government has announced $11 million in funding towards construction of a new cargo facility for Inuit-owned airline Canadian North at Ottawa International Airport. Canadian North will also be investing $11 million. The new warehouse will double the capacity of Canadian North at the airport and will help the firm reduce delays in cargo handling, stated a release.

The project will include an expansion of the truck-loading area and also of refrigeration facilities. In addition, the project includes a backup power system to ensure service continuity during severe weather events.
