West Shore RCMP say the driver and passenger are lucky they walked away with minor injuries and no member of the public was injured

A driver who plowed over a tree and smashed into a brick wall in Langford on Friday was given a 90-day driving prohibition and his vehicle was impounded after he failed a roadside screening test, says West Shore RCMP.

The 28-year-old driver and a passenger received minor injuries in the crash, which was significant enough to deploy the airbags on the 2018 grey Dodge Challenger. RCMP said the crash caused thousands in damages to the homeowner’s property at Nicklaus Drive and Eston Place on Bear Mountain. The driver and passenger are lucky they walked away with minor injuries and no member of the public was injured, said Cpl. Nancy Saggar of the West Shore RCMP.
