I love my children with every ounce of me. My love for them courses through my veins. Yet sometimes I find myself imaging what my life would be like if I never had kids. | CBCKids

My fantasy usually has me in a hotel room.

I like being alone. In fact, I need it. My need to be alone is just as important as food, water and sunshine. It’s not the sheer magnitude of things that need to be done. That isn’t a secret. I just have to think back to my own mother and how she rarely sat down to know that the workload, when you have children, is heavy. I am not afraid of work. I can wash dishes, do laundry, pack lunches and drive kids from one activity to another. It’s that I am now thinking for four people, not just for me.My mind will not slow down.

It’s the guilt that creeps in when I know I am messing up. It’s the guilt that makes me question if maybe I’m just not cut out for this motherhood gig.

Kids Wow. Just wow. Not one day has ever gone by that I daydream about life without my children.

Kids Motherhood is hard. You need a break once in a while. I totally get it. I imagine what my life would be without my kiddo and then think how l lucky she’s my kiddo, I can’t wait to pick her up from school or give her a hug or see her face when I say we are going for ice cream.

Kids What? This is crazy

Kids CBC is pushing an anti-kid agenda these days.

Kids Oh look, another article from a left leaning rag deriding families and children.

Kids You're not 'bad'; you need a vacation

Kids I cannot say I ever felt that way, but I have wondered if my son would have had a less difficult life if I hadn’t married the wrong man a.k.a. his father. My ex was abusive, controlling, hateful and is probably one of the yellow jackets right now.

Kids Kids are annoying most of the time

Kids Kudos to mummymadness2 for having the balls to admit she's human. Parenting is like willingly sliding your soul into a wood chipper. It's totally worth it but my analogy is more than accurate.

What’s So Bad About My Daughter Loving Pink, Anyway? | CBC Parents'If we’ve embraced pink as a reasonable choice for boys, maybe it’s time to also embrace it as a valid option for girls. Maybe I should make this the year I suck up my personal preferences, accept and celebrate that my daughter loves pink.' | CBCKids Kids How stereotypical could you be? Gender is a construct right? Oh, I forgot, your mission is to end masculinity. Kids Who cares what colour it is they like? Why is this news? “My daughter wore jeans and a shirt today and it happened to be blue.” Ooooooo 😒🙄 You’re repressive by not letting them wear what they feel comfortable in. Took you to a blog to vent this? Kids Pink was a boys colour in Victorian times, or earlier.
