Hockey Canada says there were more than 900 documented or alleged incidents of on-ice discrimination across all levels and age groups during the 2021-22 season.

The data contained in the national sport organization's first-ever report tracking the issue shows 512 penalties for discrimination were called by officials, while 415 allegations were investigated after the fact.

The report's release comes on the heels of the "action plan" unveiled by Hockey Canada in July to address "toxic behaviour in the sport" as it dealt with the dramatic fallout of alleged sexual assaults involving members of both the 2018 and 2003 world junior teams. None of the allegations have been proven in court.

"Education, awareness and discussion on processes were necessary in order to make improvements," the report stated. "As a result, there were inconsistencies in the rule application at times.

More than half of those incidents — 55 per cent — came in the under-18 age bracket, while 76 per cent occurred at the competitive level. The under-18 age group again led the way with 37 per cent of incidents, while 21 per cent occurred in under-15, and nine per cent in under-13. In 22 per cent of cases, the age division wasn't provided.Competitive hockey saw 70 per cent of the allegations, with players making up 76 per cent of the overall number. Male participants accounted for 67 per cent of allegations, while gender wasn't provided or available in 31 per cent of reports.

That's nothing compared to what governments are doing:

Why is fakenewsCBC silent on Twitter reveal by elonmusk? Looking forward to see how Liberals and CBCNews is involved with suppression of freedomconvoy_

Undocumented is probably 10 times that

there are close to 8000 hockey rinks in Canada, that is around 1 complaint per 10 rinks over an entire season with likely hundreds of games per rink per season. Doesn’t seem like news to me.

Hockey culture is terrible

In one gamr?

Cbcs a joke 😂 give me my money back..

It’s beginning to appear that in these woke times in which we live, everyone is offended in one way or another. ✔️

Anyone surprised by this has never spent anytime with a hockey player.

duh. Kids stink.

OMG name calling on the ice!!!!!!

This is alarming. Any count on ‘your momma wears army boots’? cdnpoli

💔🇨🇦

That's it ?

That’s it? You people are lucky!

Wait till they hear about Call of Duty chat...

Soon players will be kissing each other after each goal .

Thats because they Love you !

so people in charge saw the first 300 incidents and were fine with those... then 500... 'sure'... then 700... 'I really don't care'... 900... 'maybe we should do something about that'

In other words, sports players trash talk in sports game.

Why the war against hockey? What's the real agenda?

SO!

Deflection from their lack of oversight on all the sexual assault allegations?

so as a percentage of 10's of millions of interactions...

Becoming a joke not only teens trash talk, happens in most competitive sports. Canada vying for the title World's Wokest Country

Has 'Hockey Canada' ever played hockey before? Is this a joke?

What?! Teenagers trash talk each other when playing sports?! Say it ain’t so! How many games of hockey was that I wonder? 100,000? 200,000? Probably way more.

Quite broad descriptions to be lumped all together?

Punjabi hockey players must take after their ancestors and get their own justice, do some scott stevens shiiiee on the ice because HockeyCanada ain't gonna do anything until it recovers from their debacle.

Even after a fist fight on ice, players will have beers with each other after. It's a game, a tough game and verbal and physical brutalities happen. Give your balls a tug CBC.

Ever played a physical sport... C'mon man.

Has 'Hockey Canada' ever played hockey before? Is this a joke?

Across all levels and age groups. *sniff* we are truly a country of equals.

Now add in the sexual assault allegations and give us the new number of “alleged incidents”. 🤦‍♀️ Hockey Canada needs a major overhaul.
