Highway 401 at Meadowvale closed after motorcyclist seriously hurt by flying container

In a video posted to Twitter this afternoon, Sgt. Kerry Schmidt of the OPP said the note measures roughly four feet by four feet.

The victim has been rushed to a trauma centre and their exact condition is unknown at this time./Meadowvale eb express lanes remain blocked for ongoing investigation. The tote fell from another vehicle which the rider collided with.

So is the headline is wrong? Flying container? Someone said it was there for a while so my assumption would be that the container was not flying at motorcycle driver.

I hope the rider pulls through poor guy. He gonna be a rich man.

This thing been on the highway since 1:30pm I can’t believe it took someone to get hurt for it to be looked into. A lot of us had to swerve around it 🫣

Debris all over 401&407 every day.. I’ve seen plywood,chains,ladders,sod ect all over the road, not tied properly.
