Ontario couple’s luggage containing tracker donated to charity by Air Canada | Globalnews.caFearing lost luggage, more and more travellers are putting electronic tracking devices on their suitcases. For one Ontario couple, it didn't help them get their belongings back. That is one of the reasons why my school has told all of us students to get travelinsurance before we head out of country this spring. Some insurance plans cover the cost of lost luggage. Example: Holy EFF!! The whole 'unclaimed luggage' concept is ridiculous. Never heard of anyone just walking away from airport without 1) picking up luggage or 2) filling claim for luggage misplaced by airline. TV report even said that name tags were visible on suitcases so airline has 0 excuse. 🤬

Something really doesn't ring true re this item. If the owners were able to track the item via GPS, presumably continuously, how could they say it was lost? Seems we're missing one or more of the 'W's'.
