It turns out that the vast majority of British Columbians have plans to celebrate Thanksgiving this year, with only 13 per cent passing on the holiday.
Nicknamed ‘Turkey Day’, the traditional menu has come to represent the holiday in and of itself. The most common food being served across B.C.? Mashed potatoes, with 75 per cent of people having them on their menu. Along with the taters, people will be digging into turkey and gravy . Other main dishes planned are ham and roast beef . Seven per cent said they will have a meat alternative, reflecting B.C.’s growing vegetarian demographic.
Not surprisingly, most British Columbians say they are celebrating with family and/or friends. Fifty-four per cent of B.C. residents are staying in their own homes, and 27 per cent are going to someone else’s home.
That guy won't be celebrating. He's dead.
