A new Netflix nature docuseries is drawing attention for a disturbing scene that shows a group of walruses plunging off a cliff to their deaths in a phenomenon that the filmmakers say is linked to climate change.

Jamie McPherson, a cameraman on the shoot, said in a behind-the-scenes video that it was “the worst thing I’ve ever filmed.”

“Our Planet” has earned attention for its unflinching, up-close look at the devastating toll of climate change. Later in the series, after a group of orangutans are introduced, viewers are told that 100 of the apes die each week due to human activity. “They’d be on the ice right now if they could be. But there’s no option but to come to land. They’re just a danger to themselves. It’s really hard to watch and witness this. It’s just so heartbreaking,” Lanfear says between tears as she watches the animals plunge to their deaths.herds of up to 35,000 walruses

For a moment there it looked like Trudeau. 😅

Watch & you'll see why! It happens because they're none too bright & climb up for space in the sun on a rock because it's overcrowded at the ocean level. Then they try & return at sunset and well they all fall off. You gotta wonder why they'd do that in the first place. Suicide!

They were being chased by polar bears. The same bears that were supposed to be gone.

Better get the blanky, warm soy milk, and PTSD payments warmed up. Call Trump. We need fences around any drop above 5cm, just to be sure this massive tragedy never has to be witnessed again. 'Oh, the humanity!'

So 2 days after this story was proven to be manipulated, CTV still runs it. Then can't figure out why people don't trust the media. Shameful.

I saw a video the other day of the same thing happening over 20 years ago. Guess what the issue was, Polar bears seeing a smorgasbord.

It’s very sad and uncomfortable to watch...

Doesn't mass animal suicide usually mean aliens are coming?

Climate barbie to increase carbon tax after seeing this

It’s the “Circle of Life” Let it be!!!!

If we actually spent more time looking for the cause of this instead of blaming everything under the sun on climate change, there could actually be a solution to prevent these tragic events. Blaming everything on climate change is a cop out.

It also showed Orcas eating penguins and whales eating krill.

😪😪😪💔💔💔 How horrible is this, omg.

My cousin RayRay.. boop.. dead

OMG, did it die? Don't answer that... I don't want to know! Ugh

Nature. Even if this censored because of bleeding hearts, nature and gravity are still a thing...
