Health-care system 'beyond crisis' Ottawa nurse says, as premier touts spending ottnews

Ontario Premier Doug Ford was grilled on the province’s health-care situation Wednesday but offered no new plan in his first comments on the issue in weeks.

This comes as a new study finds nearly seven in 10 nurses say they're unable to provide adequate patient care due to a lack of available time and resources, and nearly one in two registered practical nurses are considering leaving the profession for good.

As an Indigenous woman with comorbidities and a respiratory illness, I am scared to literal frozen state half the time - I am fully vaxxed and despite having had COVID twice, I know of younger people who ended up on ventilators. We are in some serious $hit, like it or not.

Maybe they should start firing nurses who haven't been boosted. If we learnt anything during last 2 years, that will help... right guys 🤡
