OPINION Health care reform doesn’t have to wait for a grand bargain that all governments bless at the same time; it should move forward now, wherever the will to act exists, writes Brian Bohunicky of the ppforumca

Canada stands at a moment of urgency and opportunity around our health care. We can and must take advantage of this moment by accelerating real reform — and the path forward is plain to see.

The urgency lies in problems that have reached new extremes in recent months: emergency room closures, wait times, lack of access and inequitable access to primary care, failings in long-term care, and burnout among health care professionals who have done so much under extreme conditions to get us through three years of the pandemic.

Still, the opportunity is just as compelling as the urgency, because COVID-19 also illuminated crucial strengths on which to build. The dedication of so many in the health care professions is profound; governments proved they can collaborate for the common good; innovations happened quickly in both public and private sectors; and the use of technology leaped ahead virtually overnight.

Opinion | When will Russia’s genocidal war end?Western leaders should now convert all their good intentions into a tangible political will to provide Ukraine without further delay all the necessary weapons to end this war and thereby ensure peace, security and stability. Opinion by Eugene Czolij Does anyone reading his 'opinion' agree? He is Ukrainian, so as most of them has gone mental. They are bent of 'winning' over Rus no matter what. Yes, West can arm them to extent they may start prevailing over Rus wuth conventional weapons. But what then? Will Rus collapse 1/2 2/2 and we'll have peace and prosperity all around. Is he/UKR comedian/USA/NATO/WEST gone completely insane? Russ, the biggest/nuclear armed cntry that no one ever beaten would submit to UKR and its masters? Get this into your collective heads: Rus will risk early extinction 2/2 3/3 of humanity by using nuclear weapons against those ganging up on them sooner than risking losing Rus/Mother Russia to them because they got bunch of advanced weapons from their masters. If you think this wd not happen, try and die with all of us. Do your ppl know this?
