Starting with the convoy, the Tory leader has been building a new kind of diverse Conservative coalition: one that is younger and angrier.

The Canadian conservative movement’s ability to attract diverse voters has long been noted by Ottawa observers. But those same observers assumed that winning those voters meant tacking to the centre. It’s clear that he is building a new kind of diverse Conservative coalition: one that is younger and angrier and more distrustful of media and institutions than the coalition that it has replaced.

. Poilievre, by contrast, correctly identifies “gatekeepers” in local government as his nemesis. He pairs this attack with an attack on the Bank of Canada.Article contentPoilievre and Trump are both practitioners of grievance politics, and channellers of anger. But where Trump sought to channel his voters’ cultural grievances, Poilievre seeks to channel — in part, if not in whole — their material grievances, and build a new Conservative coalition.

Younger voters, diverse voters and marginalized voters — the kind of voter that progressive parties like to imagine make up their base — have material grievances to spare. For too long, left-wing political parties have abandoned working-class, materialist politics in the pursuit of a cross-class majority that unites along false culture wars. This strategy has run its course.

He's filling a void the center should occupy. Plenty of left leaders... plenty of right leaders.... No one in the center where the majority of people are.

I am sure how a void can fill up a void!

Please don't talk about 'filling a void' and Pierre Poilievre in the same breath.

Identity Politics as policy was always a Pandora's Box. Good luck walking it all back.

Liberals are everything. They are everywhere. There is no 'void' to escape to, to avoid liberals. They are God, science, authority. We are mere humans. We need the elite liberals to guide us.

EVERY SINGLE PARTY in Canada is corrupt and compromised. We cant vote our way out of this. There is no authentic left wing party in Canada, bunch of UkroNazi supporting Pfizer fascists

Inflation-focused Pierre Poilievre back to Parliament as health-care talks loomIt\u0027s no secret what Pierre Poilievre thinks about government spending and inflation. Maybe the press can force these same questions on the current PM. It’s not up to Poilievre to solve these problems for the PM since JT got us into this hole. Singh should stop supporting the current dumpster fire.

Inflation-focused Pierre Poilievre back to Parliament as health-care talks loomIt’s no secret what Pierre Poilievre thinks about government spending and inflation. Same with guns. But what does the Conservative leader think should happen when premiers ask for billions more in federal health transfers? Apparently you want him to solve Trudeau's problems? We all know Trudeau will throw money at it if it becomes a liability and ignore it if it doesn't. He’ll tell them to just privatize it all. He shouldn’t think about it too much on his own in his own bubble until he has sat & listened on several occasions several times per year. In fact he should as a matter of utmost concern sit down talk & listen to them for several days. He should be meeting with them regularly.

Inflation-focused Pierre Poilievre back to Parliament as health-care talks loomIt's no secret what Pierre Poilievre thinks about government spending and inflation. Same with guns. But what does the Conservative leader think should happen when premiers ask for billions more in federal health-care dollars? With a deal under negotiation between Ottawa and provinces, and premiers invited to a meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in early February, the issue remains one where the Tory leader's position appears somewhat murky, including to some inside his own party. Who cares what little piss ant Pierre is doing. PeePee Does not matter how much money goes into healthcare when we are short of doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers... More lies to come, sigh.
