Halifax District RCMP Seek Public Assistance to Identify Driver | SaltWire
Langley RCMP said the vehicle crashed into the Aldergrove community policing station at 26970 Fraser Highway just before 8:30 p.m. on Sunday. A woman who was a passenger in the vehicle was assisted by witnesses at the scene. First-aid was performed on her, and paramedics took her to hospital. Witnesses told officers the driver had fled the scene on foot. He was found a short distance away and arrested for impaired driving, said Langley RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig van Herk in a news release.On Monday, an eight-block stretch of Fraser Highway between 268 Street and 276 Street remained close to traffic as police investigated. The area will remain closed likely until Monday afternoon, said police.
RCMP are asking witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam, cell phone, or surveillance video footage relating to the incident to contact Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
