It was all going so well for Jose Berrios and then with one little mistake, it all went awry.

It was the beginning of the end for both Berrios and the Jays as the visiting Cleveland Guardlans would plate five runs in the third and tag on three more in the fourth, officially ending Berrios’ night on the way to an 8-0 win.The Jays offence had no answer for Port Hope native Cal Quantrill, pitching for just the second time in the same park his father Paul spent six of his 14-years in the bigs.

Jays lead-off man Lourdes Gurriel Jr. did sting one of his first offerings deep to left and on a line, but rookie left fielder Steven Kwan ran it down to make a fully outstretched over the shoulder grab to get Quantrill on his way.The lone hit he allowed came in the fourth when Vladimir Guerrero Jr. lined one down the right field line for a one-out double.

Finally, he got no help from his offence, which managed just one measly hit through the seven innings Quantrill remained in the game.
