“Thank you to all of the TFC staff and players for the incredible experiences we’ve shared together during this journey. I’m forever grateful to each of you. Lastly, to the TFC Fans. You’re truly amazing and the memories and emotions from our biggest nights together will be cherished.” The 46-year-old Vanney is the most successful and long-tenured coach in franchising history, leading the Reds to a historic domestic “treble” in 2017 by capturing the MLS Cup, Supporters’ Shield and the Canadian Championship. The feat earned him MLS Coach of the Year honours. Vanney also holds every coaching record for the team, including matches managed and wins .
