But that’s different than what May said in a recent interview. In a CBC News clip that aired Monday, May – who openly supports the right for women to have access to safe, legal abortions -- was asked what she would do, hypothetically speaking, if a backbencher Green MP brought forward a private member’s bill in an attempt to reopen the abortion debate.
Hours after the video went live, the Green Party issued a statement clarifying that, although the party’s leader does not have the power to whip votes, all Green MPs must endorse the party’s values, “including support of a woman’s right to choose.” But May did not back down from her comments about her role as leader, saying that her position “is not an elected dictator.” Instead, she suggested that the House of Commons needs more independent thinkers and fewer MPs who toe party lines.
In the past, Green candidates have been removed for opposing abortion and for anti-Semitic views – but such instances are “rare,” the party said.
Can she please clarify her statement about regulating social media? Does she plan to amend the Charter of Rights and Freedoms?
It was the WiFi s fault. She has claimed for years that it screws with the health of your brain.
The Greens have been making a lot of 'clarifications'. I know some people have twisted what she said, but there's also genuine confusion based on her words. If the Greens were elected, they could never be effective because they'd be so mired in self-inflicted controversies.
The real question isn't who would or would not reopen the debate It's who has the courage to actually put it into law All any of the parties are doing at the moment is using the issue to manipulate voters while doing absolutely nothing of any consequence
Humm..FakeNewsCTV pushing the US abortion debate on Canadians again I see.

HuffPost is now a part of OathSo... when does May apologise and retract, or when does she get fired? Because Green Party just started running scared, I'm happy to say. Their opposition is gonna be re-hashing this thru October. This is a major deal for teh Green voter-type. Good Zero chance the msm will bring up May's fear of WiFi on our children's brains or the anti semetic undertones of many of her candidates.
