Rothesay High School’s River Lanz received the 2002 Gray Cup’s Peter Houston Memorial Award recently. Peter’s sister, Carrie Houston, left, and Colonel Gray High School athletic director Laura Lindsay, presented the award to a player in the senior AAA boys-level tournament who shows hard work and sportsmanship. Colonel Gray hosted the three-day, eight-team tournament recently. - Jason SimmondsCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Gray Cup is much more than just basketball.

“River is now in Year 4 on our team,” said Hickey. “He is a pretty quiet leader. He goes out and does the right thing, works hard every day, on and off the court.
