TORONTO -- One of the many ways people are showing their support for the Black Lives Matter movement is by supporting Black-owned businesses.Don Gorman, the publisher of Rocky Mountain Books, has created a map displaying more than 250 bookstores across Canada and the United StatesA total of 61 stores appear on the map. A majority of them are based in the U.S.
, with only two located in Canada – A Different Booklist in Toronto and Knowledge Bookstore in Brampton, Ont.across Canada that are allowing customers to shop online, offering local delivery as well as curb-side pick-up services.A number of children's and adult books about Black history and culture are on display at Knowledge Bookstore in Brampton, Ont. According to publisher Rocky Mountain Books, Knowledge Bookstore is one of only two Black-owned and oriented bookstores in Canada.
There's no local black owned businesses where I live. Should I travel to the city a couple hours away to support them instead of the white businesses in town?
Nothing racist to see here - move along.
No worries about the mouth breathing illiterates breaking into these stores to loot, or anywhere that sells work boots.

Video shows Laval police dragging Black man from car by hairThere is another call for police departments in Quebec to acknowledge racial profiling after a video began circulating on social media showing a Laval police officer dragging a Black man out of a car by his hair.
