TORONTO -- After being bullied for her love of bugs, 11-year-old Sophia Spencer continued to follow her passion and is now inspiring others with her bookSpencer was just two years old when she became interested in bugs during a family trip to the Niagara Falls Butterfly Conservatory. Spencer told CTV’s Your Morning that a blue butterfly landed on her shoulder and stayed there.

When she was in Grade 1, Spencer was bullied for bringing a grasshopper to school. Not only was she teased, her schoolmates stomped the creature to death. Spencer had gained mass attention and support from the media and entomologists across the country. She and her mother decided to write a children’s book to encourage others to pursue their dreams.Spencer says she hopes to become an entomologist and one day study her favourite insect: the grasshopper.

She seems sweet. She should just follow with her passion.

🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

Good for her.

You show em girl

Sounds like me! Even now, I save wasps and release them out of my house, most people would kill them. I remember when I was her age I was so sad when a bumble bee, I named Bumbles, died at school. I cried so hard! Every life is important and every living thing has a soul!

Sophia, it warms a parents heart to see their child's passion grow, the fact that you did something amazing with it( with the help from Mom & Dad) is even more inspiring! Just some words of praise from a daddy myself, we're proud of you & never let anyone discourage your dreams!

Way to go, honey...you show them...bullying is WRONG....❤️🇨🇦👍

8-year-old girl and friends dress as Target employees, take over store for her birthdayBrayden Lawrence turned 8 on Sunday and had her birthday party at her favorite place on Earth: Target. aww so cute! Look at the progressives indoctrinating little girls into corporate serfdom! I'm glad that they're not with a family that would brainwash them with bible nonsense! Actually this PR puff piece is also disgusting due to its racism. Blacks don't shop at Target but they can work there? Disgusting! I'm happy for her.
