As the world waited to see what the series finale of “Game of Thrones” would yield for fans, many stars of the hit show shared their feelings about everything coming to an end on social media.
Emilia Clarke, Gwendoline Christie, Sophie Turner, John Bradley, and Raleigh Ritchie all posted emotional goodbyes to the show that they’ve each been a major part of for years. Daenerys Targaryen’s Clarke thanked fans for their “steady gaze” and said that the show “has shaped me as a woman, as an actor and as a human being.”
“The mother of dragons chapter has taken up the whole of my adult life. This woman has taken up the whole of my heart. I’ve sweated in the blaze of dragon fire, shed many tears at those who left our family early, and wrung my brain dry trying to do Khaleesi and the masterful words, actions I was given, justice,” she wrote on a series of photos taken on the show’s set.
