Families, Children, and Social Development Minister Jenna Sudds says the release of a federal report showing near unanimous support across the country for a proposed national school food program is a “huge first step” towards joining Canada's G7 counterparts in ensuring no student goes to school hungry.
” Judith Barry, Breakfast Club of Canada co-founder and director of government relations, told that she and other advocates had grown slightly anxious over the last few months, explaining that the BCC had followed up with Sudds' office multiple times, given she had been informed the consultation report was initially scheduled to be released in July.
