The House of Representatives Committee was formed after Senate Republicans blocked the creation of an independent commission to investigate the Jan. 6 attack

Harry Dunn and Aquilino Gonell, officers with the U.S. Capitol police, and Michael Fanone and Daniel Hodges, officers with the District of Columbia police, are scheduled as the panel’s first witnesses.Four people died on the day of the violence, including one rioter fatally shot by police and three others who died of natural causes. A Capitol police officer who had been attacked by protesters died the following day.

Most House Republicans have fiercely opposed the creation of the committee, saying it is politically motivated by Democrats. Cheney, who was stripped of her position in the House Republican leadership over her criticism of Trump, is expected to give one of the two opening statements on Tuesday.“What we want to try to communicate during the hearing is what it was like to be on the front lines for these brave police officers, how vastly outnumbered they were, how well-militarized the members of the crowd were,” House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, a panel member, told reporters on Monday.

It is obvious the attack on the Capitol building was not a 'love party'. Anyone who says this is delusional.... and an outright liar.

202 days after Donald's insurrection & riot, the House of Representatives Select Committee starts the first & only public investigation into the attack on our republic. A work long overdue. But better late than never. Here we go. Buckle up.

Blue Jays allow four runs in one frame, lose to Mets in Rich Hill's debutPete Alonso homered again, pinch-hitter Jeff McNeil broke a tie with a two-run double and the New York Mets beat the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 on Sunday in a successful debut for new starter Rich Hill. I think they swing too much and don’t work the count enough. Especially when there’s a chance to drive home a few. But that’s just me. We can’t beat good teams.. we can’t win close games.. we can’t win games from behind… Should be, 'BlueJays bullpen implodes, WeAreBlueJays hitters come short in comeback effort...'
