Police responded to Sammy’s Chophouse, a restaurant at 3153 34 Ave S.E., at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday for calls that a vehicle had driven into the building, striking several patrons.
Police identified the driver as a 76-year-old man in a news release. They said he crashed the truck through the restaurant “at a high rate of speed before coming to a rest inside.
Police said investigations are ongoing into the cause of the incident, but that alcohol is not considered a factor.Police asked anyone with information on the crash or dashcam footage from the area to call 403-266-1234.
