"It was not my intent to make any allegations against anyone or any organization," he said. "I was only speaking to how coach Crawford affected me. I cannot speak for how others were affected by him. Crawford, now an assistant coach with the Chicago Blackhawks, is away from the team while it reviews his conduct with another organization. He has not responded to interview requests from The Canadian Press.
Former NHL forward Patrick O'Sullivan, who also played for Crawford in L.A., responded to the Blackhawks' decision on Twitter: "I talked about his physical abuse in my book 4 years ago kicking me and others on the bench."
