'Losing sucks,' said Maryam Monsef, the former Trudeau cabinet minister who lost her seat in 2021. But like virtually every defeated member of Parliament before her, Monsef learned that losing isn't quite the end of the world — and life after politics can be rewarding as well.

Nobody likes losing — but many MPs learned after 2021 that it's not the end of the world.

'Losing sucks'? A gentle reminder that you live in Canada based on a damned lie on your family's immigration paperwork. You shouldn't even be here. c.c. MaryamMonsef

Even this ISIS supporter?

Is this the same Monsef who committed fraud in her citizen application? Is that the same one?

Two of these MP's were liberals that 'coincidentally' ended up in positions where they make money, and other people volunteer. Think they knew what the liberal government was planning? In terms of paying the volunteers that make them money, with our tax dollars. Disgusting.

2 of these MP's used their political power to swing themselves into very nice paying jobs in the 'non profit' sector. Both of them are probably funded mostly, or entirety, by the government.

Why is this a story?

At a heightened time of oppression of women particular by mullahs, your story displays a picture of a women who called the Taliban her brothers. The taliban supports the IRGCTerrorists. This is an affront to brave Iranianwomen. How shameful of you

Is she working for her brothers now?

Remember when this politician referred to the Taliban as 'our brothers'

Disappointed there's no mention of Megan Leslie...one of our biggest losses :(

I would like to see the clip or press release of Monsef walking back the “our brothers” comment like you have reported here. I didn’t do an exhaustive search but I did search and I was unable to find such a statement.

Isn’t she an illegal ?

Weird - nothing about the two highest profile former MPs - Raybould and Philpot - why is that yasminereports? DefundCBC

Will the current PM go back to teaching Kindergarten?

The politician who referred to the women flogging Taliban as 'our brothers?'

“6 years and out” plan.
