Former Halifax Mooseheads star Jakub Voracek has 806 points in 1,058 career NHL games with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Philadelphia Flyers. - NHLThere's serious concern Jakub Voracek may have played his last NHL game.

"Jake has had a number of head injuries during his career, and after the most recent was advised by doctors to take some time off to see if his ongoing symptoms subside to the point that will allow him to come back and play," Blue Jackets general manager Jarmo Kekalainen said in a news release."We don't expect a resolution in the near future and will give Jake as much time as he needs as his long-term health is the most important factor here.

Voracek is 33 and recently passed the 1,000-game milestone and has produced more than 800 points during his career with the Blue Jackets and Philadelphia Flyers. He had 62 points in 79 games last season and had a goal and five assists in 11 games this season before a Nov. 4 concussion so he's still a productive and effective player when healthy.
