The goalie hasn’t lived up to his $25-million contract yet, but it’s not the first time he’s had to bounce back from mental struggles.

Even sitting on the bench — where he’s mostly been lately — has been an adventure.

“Broken nose. Nothing crazy,” said Campbell. “I saw we were dumping it in high, so I kind of went to grab it thinking it might come into the bench, so I put my glove out and the defenceman deflected it, right on my nose.” “I’ve been through this pretty much every year since I’ve played hockey,” said Campbell of his current struggles. “Last year after the all-star break, there was a lot longer stretch, actually. But I’ve never really started this poorly before. I take things personally all the time and expect to play a certain way. So to play the way I have out of the gate isn’t ideal, but I know I have a lot of great hockey left and I can’t wait to show everybody.

Tess van Straaten reports. Good intentions, pretty creative, with a sprinkle of distopia... Way to think outside the cardboard box.👍 Pod living. Nothing new here. These are homelessness enablers. 'Don't worry if you don't want to work and earn a living to rent a place you can remain homeless and we will give you a luxury cardboard box to live in' The pods can still get tipped over & set on fire. They're not really keeping anyone 'safe', it's just an illusion to push an ideology that will not actually help solve any problem but only hide it. Out of sight out of mind but the problem is still there.
