Former B.C. physiotherapist Alex McKechnie will get his turn to show off the Larry O’Brien Trophy on Tuesday at a special public event hosted by the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame.

The NBA championship trophy will visit Vancouver on Tuesday, accompanying a former B.C. physiotherapist now working with the Raptors.

It is the first time the trophy has been to B.C. since 2015 and only the second official appearance of the trophy in Canada alongside a Canadian winner. The longtime physiotherapist has also worked with names such as Shaquille O’Neal, Steve Nash and the Los Angeles Lakers, helping the team win five championships in 11 seasons. Last year, he was inducted into the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame as an honorary member.
