A group of players from three West Prince communities – Tignish, Alberton, and O’Leary – are making a name for themselves in flag football.
The Gary Rozell-coached team went 5-1 in the round robin, lost to Ontario Team Two 41-7 in the semifinals and bounced back to defeat Nova Scotia White 22-18 in the bronze-medal game. Milligan credited P.E.I. Team Two’s success to contributions from all team members. Milligan described the squad as a well-rounded team.
“A lot of coaches from different teams, even the older teams from across the country, took notice of how well he played,” said Milligan. “He was really strong for us.”
