The Edmonton Elks made a major management shake-up on Monday, days after the conclusion of the CFL season.
The Elks announced the firing of president and CEO Chris Presson, general manager Brock Sunderland and head coach Jaime Elizondo. Edmonton finished the season at 3-11, missing the playoffs and tying the Ottawa Redblacks for worst record in the league. TSN Football Insider Dave Naylor reports former Calgary Stampers and B.C. Lions head coach and general manager Wally Buono will serve the Elks in a transitional role until a new general manager is in place by start of the new year.
Fire the guy who picked their name too! The plural form of Elk, is Elk. ie -- there are 12 Elk on the field, and they look lost.
