Oilers' early-season accolades are mounting, but focus is on that silver trophyAs a team, the Oilers are now 8-1, matching a franchise record set in 1985-86. No one has started a season as hot as Draisaitl since Lemieux in 2002. McDavid is the best player in the world — and he’s not even leading his own team in scoring. If only the playoffs weren’t so far away. Spec There's the rub. Keith's had an even +/- through the first 37 games last year and then -14 in the last 17. Seemed to hit a wall. Smith is a year older and has already gotten hurt. I wonder what shape they'll be in after a full 82 games this year. Spec Gotta get out of round 1 nothing else matters no records or points nothing
