Durham Region is receiving an award from TECHNATION, a Canadian tech advocacy group, for its new 311 phone service.to communicate with callers. It is meant to provide information on regional services, like road maintenance, transit, waste pickup and water billing.You can also simply dial 311 on your phone if you are within Durham’s regional boundaries.
Anyone outside of Durham’s borders can still call 905-668-7711, or toll-free at 1-800-372-1102.“Thank you to TECHNATION and CIO Awards Canada for recognizing the myDurham 311 voice service project,” said Kalyan Chakravarthy, Durham’s CIO. “Our team, in Durham Region, has worked hard behind the scenes to make it happen. This is just one way we are enhancing the customer service experience through technology.
