Durham Region is joining other Ontario cities in introducing its own 311 service.
“The 311 phone service is all about making it easier and more convenient for people to get the information they need, when they need it,” said Durham CAO Elaine Baxter-Trahair. “We are moving from 60 publicly advertised phone numbers down to one easy-to-remember number. This innovative tool will help provide a better, more consistent customer experience.”
Customer service representatives will be on-hand from 8 a.m until 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. During off-hours, an automated attendant will be able to direct your calls.
