The driver responsible for a bizarre rear-end crash that backed up traffic on the Malahat last Friday afternoon was prohibited from being behind the wheel and faces charges, say West Shore RCMP.
West Shore RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Nancy Saggar said most vehicles came to a safe stop, but one vehicle, a 2007 Chrysler Sebring, did not stop and rear-ended a 2021 Subaru Forrester.
A prohibited driver. BC No-fault insurance means those that got smashed will likely have higher insurance rates. The guilty driver should have to reimburse BCIC for ALL costs including Courts, police, and BCIC costs. Every damn cent. Cell phone distraction?
